AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Automatic High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects auto high beam switch signals.

The automatic high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the auto high beam switch.

Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (AUTO HIGH BEAM MAIN SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

      Auto High Beam Main Switch Auto high beam switch signal ON or OFF

      ON: Auto high beam switch pressed

      OFF: Auto high beam switch not pressed

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH)


    1. Remove the integration control and panel assembly (auto high beam switch).

    2. Inspect the integration control and panel assembly (auto high beam switch).

      Auto high beam switch is normal.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH) - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the K5 integration control and panel assembly (auto high beam switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K5-7 (+B) - K12-17 (AHBI) Always Below 1 Ω
      K5-7 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K5-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
