AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR


    1. Disconnect the connector.

      Component with harness connected

      (Automatic Light Control Sensor)

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L1-6 (CLTB) - L1-3 (CLTE) Engine switch off Below 1 V
      Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L1-3 (CLTE) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    4. Reconnect the connector.

    5. A01QCPKE04

      Check the waveform of the automatic light control sensor connector.

      OK
      Tester Connection Tool Setting Condition Specified Condition
      L1-3 (CLTS) - L1-5 (CLTE) 5 V/DIV., 5 ms./DIV. Engine switch on (IG), light control switch in AUTO Correct waveform is as shown

      Tech Tips

      If the ambient light becomes brighter, width A becomes narrower.

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the automatic light control sensor.
