ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Adaptive High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The headlight control computer assembly detects integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) signals. The adaptive high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch).

Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (AHS SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > AFS > Data List

      AHS Switch Integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) signal ON or OFF

      ON: Integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) is operated

      OFF: Integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) is not operated

  2. INSPECT INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY (ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SWITCH)


    1. Remove the adaptive high beam switch.

    2. Inspect the adaptive high beam switch.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SWITCH - HEADLIGHT CONTROL COMPUTER ASSEMBLY LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A29 headlight control computer assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K5 integration control and panel assembly (adaptive high beam switch) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A29-6 (AZSW) - K5-7 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      A29-6 (AZSW) or K5-7 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K5-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
