LIGHTING SYSTEM Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives the radio receiver assembly (hazard warning signal switch) on signal and controls the operation of the hazard warning lights.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (HAZARD FLASHER SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Data List

      Hazard Flasher Switch Radio receiver assembly (hazard warning signal switch) signal ON or OFF

      ON: Radio receiver assembly (hazard warning signal switch) on

      OFF: Radio receiver assembly (hazard warning signal switch) off

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the radio receiver assembly (hazard warning signal switch).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH) - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K32 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K58-10 (LJB) - K32-12 (HAZM) Always Below 1 Ω
      K58-9 (HAZ) - K32-11 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K58-10 (LJB) - - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K58-9 (HAZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
