LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar while holding the luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly.

Note


  • Install the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH first, and then the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH.

  • After installing the luggage door hinge torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly. Make sure the luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly opens and closes smoothly.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT

      B002C8N Install in this Direction

      Rotate the luggage compartment door torsion bar support to install a new luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH


    1. B002EKMC04
      *1 Washer (90201-10008)

      Install the washer (90201-10008) to SST as shown in the illustration.

      A 4.5 mm (0.177 in.)

      Engage the guides.

      Using SST, connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage compartment door hinge RH as shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH

      *1 Washer (90201-10008)

      Install the washer (90201-10008) to SST as shown in the illustration.

      Using SST, connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the luggage compartment door hinge LH as shown in the illustration.

      Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support.

      Engage the claws to close the cover.

      Engage the clip to install the luggage compartment trim inner cover LH.

    2. Engage the claws to install the clip.

    3. Install the clip.

  13. INSTALL ROPE HOOK

    Use the same procedure for both rope hooks.


    1. Install the rope hook.

    1. Install the front luggage compartment trim cover with the 3 clips and 2 nuts.

  15. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE

      Engage the clips to install the rear floor finish plate.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

  16. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

      Engage the guides to install the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

      Slide the 3 slide clips as shown in the illustration.
