LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SYSTEM Luggage Compartment Door Opener does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) continuously receives the luggage door opening cancel switch assembly ON/OFF signal. When the luggage door opening cancel switch assembly signal is off, and the luggage compartment door opening switch assembly is on, the luggage compartment door will open.

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • The luggage compartment door opener system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (LATCH RELEASE)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (TRUNK/BDOOR OPEN SW, TRUNK MAIN SW, LUGGAGE COURTESY SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the K2 luggage compartment door opening switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the K68 luggage door opening cancel switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
