SLIDING ROOF HOUSING DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET LH


    1. A01QAE5

      Remove the bolt and front sliding roof housing mounting bracket LH.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SLIDING ROOF HOUSING MOUNTING BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the claw.

    2. Disengage the guides to remove the map light bracket.

    3. A01Q92A

      Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01QBD2

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the sliding roof piece LH.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      B002C8N Remove in this Direction

      Remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL


    1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws and slide the rear roof drip channel rearward to remove it.

  6. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01Q8QV

      Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, slide the 2 sliding roof drive cable sub-assemblies in the directions indicated by the arrows shown in the illustration to remove them.

  7. REMOVE ROOF WIND DEFLECTOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Pull the springs as shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 springs.

    2. Pull the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration to disengage the guides and remove it.
