SLIDING ROOF SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY)

    1. Disconnect the W4 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      W4-8 (B) - W4-12 (E) L - W-B Battery power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      W4-1 (IG) - W4-12 (E) P - W-B IG power supply Engine switch off Below 1 V

      W4-12 (E) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the W4 sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly (sliding roof ECU) connector.

    4. Measure the voltage and waveform according to the value(s) in the table below.

      W4-4 (UP) - W4-12 (E) G - W-B Sliding roof motor up Engine switch on (IG), UP switch on Below 1 V
      W4-4 (UP) - W4-12 (E) G - W-B Sliding roof motor up Engine switch on (IG), UP switch off 11 to 14 V
      W4-6 (DWN) - W4-12 (E) B - W-B Sliding roof motor down Engine switch on (IG), DOWN switch on Below 1 V
      W4-6 (DWN) - W4-12 (E) B - W-B Sliding roof motor down Engine switch on (IG), DOWN switch off 11 to 14 V
