The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the roof headlining removal/installation are shown below.

      Turn the holder clockwise approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.

    Using the same procedure, remove every assist grip cover.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws to remove the assist grip cover.

    2. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.

      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Using a clip remover, disengage the clamps.

      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Using a clip remover, disengage the clamps.

      w/ Rain Sensor:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      w/ Lane Departure Alert System:


      1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      1. Disconnect the connector.

        Disconnect the connector.

      w/ Sliding Roof:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clips and hook-and-loop fasteners to remove the roof headlining.

      1. Disengage the clips and hook-and-loop fasteners to remove the roof headlining.

      Turn the roof headlining diagonally and bend slightly to remove it from the front passenger side door.

      Note


      • Make sure that wrinkles do not form in the roof headlining during removal.

      • Make sure that the roof headlining does not get caught on anything as it may become bent or damaged.

      • Do not damage the roof headlining or vehicle interior.
