REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM Only Front Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade

DESCRIPTION

The rear window shade assembly receives the rear sun shade switch assembly signals and drives its built-in motor.

Note


  • Do not remove the ground bolt of the rear window shade assembly.

  • When the rear sun shade relay is replaced with a new one, do not use the wire harness packaged together with the new rear sun shade relay.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR SUN SHADE SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the rear sun shade switch assembly.

    2. Inspect the rear sun shade switch assembly.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SUN SHADE SWITCH ASSEMBLY- REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K47 rear sun shade switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the U25 rear window shade assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K47-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K47-3 (ECU) - U25-4 (SW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K47-3 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the rear window shade assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the rear sun shade relay connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      U25-4 (SW) - A-4 (SW) Always Below 1 Ω
      U25-4 (SW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK REAR SUN SHADE RELAY
