CONDENSER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Install in this Direction

      Engage the guides to install the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the condenser or radiator when installing the cooler condenser assembly.

      Tech Tips

      If a new cooler condenser assembly is installed, add compressor oil to the condenser as follows.

      Capacity
      Add 40 cc (1.35 fl. oz)

      Compressor Oil
      for HFC-134a (R134a)
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

   2. Engage the claws.

2. CONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

   
   

   1. Remove the vinyl tape from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

   2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Compressor Oil
      for HFC-134a (R134a)
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

   3. Install the O-ring to the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

   4. Connect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose to the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

3. CONNECT LIQUID PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the vinyl tape from the liquid pipe sub-assembly and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

   2. Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

      Compressor Oil
      for HFC-134a (R134a)
      ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
      for HFO-1234yf (R1234yf)
      ND-OIL 12 or equivalent

   3. Install the O-ring to the liquid pipe sub-assembly.

   4. Connect the liquid pipe sub-assembly to the cooler condenser assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

4. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

5. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE

6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

   Click here

7. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

   Click here

8. INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR

   Click here

9. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

   Click here

10. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

    Click here

11. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT

12. WARM UP ENGINE

    Click here

13. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK

14. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

15. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

16. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL
