  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER

      Engage the guide to install the seat belt retractor cover.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY


    1. Before installing the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly, check the ELR function.

        *a Unlock
        *b Lock
        *c 45°

        When the inclination of the retractor is 15° or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks.

        Note

        Do not disassemble the retractor.

    2. Temporarily install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      Front side
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Rear side
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    4. B002CQCC01
      *1 Locking Button

      Connect the pretensioner connector and lock the locking button as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Securely lock the locking button.

    5. Connect the tension reducer connector.

    6. Connect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    7. Inspect ELR lock


      1. Check that when installed to the vehicle, pulling the belt out quickly will cause the belt to lock.

    8. Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
