REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

      *1 Locking Button
      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disconnect the tension reducer connector.

      Remove the 2 bolts and rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

  5. REMOVE SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER

      Disengage the guide to remove the seat belt retractor cover.
