FRONT SEATBACK HEATER INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the driver and front passenger side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the driver side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER (FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER)


    1. A01QD8HC04
      *a w/ Climate Control Seat Syetem Only

      Apply the double-sided tapes to install the front seatback protector.

    2. A01QAMFC02
      B002C8N Install in this direction (1)
      B002E01 Install in this direction (2)

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration to install the front seatback heater (front seatback pad with cover).

    3. Push in the rear end portion of the front seatback heater (front seatback pad with cover) in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration.

    4. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01QCEM

        Engage the claws to install the seatback climate control blower the front seatback heater (front seatback pad with cover).

    5. Connect the 2 brackets with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • When installing the bracket, check that the band is not twisted.

      • Install the bracket so that it encloses the front seat airbag assembly.

      • If the bracket is not securely installed, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy correctly.

    6. A01QBD6

      Close the 2 fasteners.

    7. A01QA1C

      Using hog ring pliers, securely install 3 new hog rings to connect the front seatback pad with cover.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage or contaminate the front seatback heater (front seatback pad with cover).

        *1 Hog Ring
        *a Hog Ring Pliers

        Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the front seatback heater (front seatback pad with cover).
