REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HOLDER

      Engage the claws to install the rear seatback holder as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedures as for the opposite side.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Engage the claws to install the rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedures as for the opposite side.

  3. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

      B002E01 Install in this direction (2)

      Install the bench type rear seatback assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration

    2. Engage the guides in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration.

      Note


      • 2 or more people are required when carrying the bench type rear seatback assembly into the vehicle.

      • Be careful not to damage or scratch the vehicle body or body interior.

    3. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the rear seat wire RH connector.

    5. Connect the 2 rear seat airbag connectors.

      Note

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


      1. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

      2. Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

        Tech Tips

        When engaged, the white housing lock will slide. Be sure not to hold the white housing lock and part (A), as it may result in an insecure fit.

      3. Check that the CPA and the rear edge of the housing are aligned.

    6. Pass the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly through the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to disconnect the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly on the other side.

    7. Pass the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH through the rear seat shoulder belt guide.

      Engage the claw to close the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to close all the caps of the rear seat shoulder belt guides.

      Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    10. Connect the anchor part of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Install the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH and rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH so that the angle of the floor anchor is within the standard range.

      Standard
      0° to 15°

    11. Connect the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Make sure that the arrow on the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH floor anchor is facing towards the front of the vehicle.

      • Do not allow the anchor part of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH to overlap the protruding parts of the floor panel.

    12. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat center headrest assembly.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat headrest assembly.

  6. INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Connect the 2 connectors.

      *1 Rear Seat Cushion Lock Hook
      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Rear Hook
      B002C8N Install in this direction (1)
      B002E01 Install in this direction (2)

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) in the illustration to engage the 2 rear hooks of the bench type rear seat cushion assembly to the bench type rear seatback assembly.

    3. Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) in the illustration and engage the 2 hooks to install the bench type rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Check that the rear seat cushion lock hooks and the cushion frame are securely engaged.

  7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
