FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   CAUTION:

   Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      As shown in the illustration, move the front seat assembly into the vehicle.

      Note

      
      

      • 2 or more people are required when reinstalling the front seat assembly into the vehicle.

      • Protect the front seat leg.

      • Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly, body exterior or body interior.

   2. Tilt the front seat assembly toward the rear.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front seat assembly or body interior.

   3. Engage the clamp to connect the connectors.

   4. Connect the front seat airbag assembly connector.

   5. Align the adjuster pin of the front seat assembly with the hole in the body.

   6. Temporarily install the front seat assembly with the 4 bolts.

   7. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

   8. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat slide position of the front seat assembly to the frontmost position.

   9. 

      In the order shown in the illustration, tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly.

      Torque:

      36.8 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

   10. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat slide position of the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

   11. 

       In the order shown in the illustration, tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly.

       Torque:

       36.8 N*m  { 375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

3. INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

   
   

   1. 

      	Install in this direction (1)
      	Install in this direction (2)

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) in the illustration to engage the guides.

   2. Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) in the illustration and engage the claws to install the front outer seat track bracket cover.

4. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the front outer seat track bracket cover.

5. INSTALL REAR OUTER FRONT SEAT TRACK COVER

   
   

   1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to set the seat slide position of the front seat assembly to the frontmost position.

   2. 

      	Install in this direction (1)
      	Install in this direction (2)

      Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (1) in the illustration to engage the guides.

   3. Push in the direction indicated by the arrows (2) in the illustration and engage the claws to install the rear outer front seat track cover.

6. INSTALL INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure as for the rear outer front seat track cover.

    Tech Tips

    
    

    • Perform initialization after replacing the position control ECU and switch assembly.

    • Perform initialization after replacing or removing/installing the front seatback frame sub-assembly or front seat adjuster assembly.
