SEAT HEATER SYSTEM Seat Heater for Rear Right Seat does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the rear control switch is operated, the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives the signal. The rear control switch sends the signal to the air conditioning amplifier assembly through LIN communication.

The air conditioning amplifier assembly receives the signal and operates the seat heater.

Note


  • If the battery voltage is low, the seat heater system may not operate. When "Operation of Electrical Items Restricted." is displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, inspect the battery, referring to On-vehicle Inspection for the charging system.

  • If the battery voltage is low, the seat heater system may not operate. When "Operation of Electrical Items Restricted." is not displayed on the multi-information display in the combination meter assembly, check the Data List item "Battery Control Count (Body ECU)".

      Disconnect the bench type rear seatback cover connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the K64 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the h1 bench type rear seatback cover connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      K64-30 (SHPE) - h1-4 (SHPE) Always Below 1 Ω
      K64-30 (SHPE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the K65 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the h3 bench type rear seat cushion cover connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      K65-18 (TFAR) - h3-1 (TFAR) Always Below 1 Ω
      K65-31 (SG) - h3-4 (SG) Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Disconnect the h1 bench type rear seatback cover connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
