FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM INITIALIZATION


  1. INITIALIZE FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM

    Note

    The position sensor initialization must be performed if one of the following occurs.


    • The position control ECU and swtch assembly is replaced.

    • The front seat adjuster LH*1,*3 is inspected or replaced.

    • The front seat adjuster RH*2,*3 is inspected or replaced.

    • The front seatback frame sub-assembly*3 is inspected or replaced.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

      • *3: for Driver Side


    1. Perform the initialization operation


      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

      2. Press the front vertical switch of the power seat switch downward 3 times.

      3. Within 10 seconds of the above operation, begin the following operation: perform the rearward reclining operation and upward lifter operation simultaneously for 10 seconds or more (buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds). This will start the initialization.

      4. For front passenger seat:

        When the position control ECU and swtch assembly (front passenger seat) is replaced or initialization is performed, slide the seat as far as possible possible to store those positions.
