The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the front seat airbag assembly removal/installation are shown below.

There is risk of injury.
If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback frame sub-assembly, front seatback pad with cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD
REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:

When storing the front seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Disengage the claw and clamps.
Disengage the clamps.
Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.
CAUTION:
The nuts must not be reused.
Make sure that the front seatback frame sub-assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
