  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. B002DIEC01
      *a Harness Clamp
      *b Hook

      Engage the hooks on the back of the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag to the glove compartment door and press in the entire lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly to install it.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Confirm that the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly is installed securely without any excessive gaps and is not protruding outward.

    3. Engage the harness clamp.

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT PANEL

      Engage the claws and clips to install the glove compartment panel.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE

      B002C8N Install in this Direction

      Engage the claws and clip to install the No. 2 glove compartment plate.

  4. CONNECT GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the 2 glove compartment door stopper sub-assemblies with the 4 screws.

  5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

  8. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  10. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
