DESCRIPTION

In this circuit, the combination meter mirror ECU detects headup display switch assembly signals via a direct line.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Head Up Display / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Remove the headup display switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER MIRROR ECU - HEADUP DISPLAY SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the M1 combination meter mirror ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the K6 headup display switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M1-9 (SW1) - K6-12 (ILU) Always Below 1 Ω
      M1-10 (SW2) - K6-10 (ILD) Always Below 1 Ω
      M1-16 (E) - K6-6 (CH) Always Below 1 Ω
      M1-9 (SW1) or K6-12 (ILU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M1-10 (SW2) or K6-10 (ILD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M1-16 (E) or K6-6 (CH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
