DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.

Note


  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Remove the front door lock RH.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - FRONT DOOR LOCK RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N3 and N24 front multiplex network door ECU RH connectors.

    2. Disconnect the N27 front door lock RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N3-22 (LSWE) - N27-8 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      N24-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      N3-22 (LSWE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK RH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the N27 front door lock RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K11 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N27-7 (LSSR) - K11-18 (LSFR) Always Below 1 Ω
      N27-7 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the O3 and O4 front multiplex network door ECU LH connectors.

    2. Disconnect the O7 front door lock LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O3-22 (LSWE) - O7-7 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      O4-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      O3-22 (LSWE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      P2-9 (LSSR) - K12-2 (LSWR) Always Below 1 Ω
      P2-6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      P2-9 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the Q2 rear door lock LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the 5C cowl side junction block LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q2-6 (LSSR) - 5C-30 Always Below 1 Ω
      Q2-9 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Q2-6 (LSSR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
