DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU and front multiplex network door ECU controls the interior illumination lights.

Note


  • First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this DTC.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK OPERATION


    1. Check the operation of each light.

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (FR FOOT LIGHT) Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (ILLUMINATION LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Front Left Door / Active Test.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Front Right Door / Active Test.

    6. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

    1. for LH:


      1. Disconnect the O4 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.

      2. Disconnect the O12 front door inside handle illumination light LH connector.

    2. for RH:


      1. Disconnect the N24 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.

      2. Disconnect the N32 front door inside handle illumination light RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. for LH:


      1. Disconnect the O3 and O4 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.

      2. Disconnect the O14 No. 1 interior illumination light LH (front door ambient light) connector.

    2. for RH:


      1. Disconnect the N3 and N24 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.

      2. Disconnect the N34 No. 1 interior illumination light RH (front door ambient light) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE ILLUMINATION LIGHT - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the S1 rear door inside handle illumination light connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
