LIGHTING SYSTEM Interior Light Auto Cut Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the battery saving control operates, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the operation of the DOME CUT relay that is built into the instrument panel junction block assembly to turn off the interior lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (RELAY FOR INTERIOR LIGHT AUTO CUT FUNCTION)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Disconnect the cowl side junction block LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. INSPECT COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH


    1. Remove the cowl side junction block LH.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the cowl side junction block LH.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the 5B cowl side junction block LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K10 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K10-2 (DOMR) - 5B-16 Always Below 1 Ω
      K10-2 (DOMR) or 5B-16 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
