LIGHTING SYSTEM Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives a door open or closed signal from each door courtesy light switch.

Note


  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR COURTESY SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Disconnect the T4 front door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the 5A cowl side junction block LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      T4-1 - 5A-33 Always Below 1 Ω
      T4-1 or 5A-33 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH

      Remove the cowl side junction block LH.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the cowl side junction block LH.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the U5 front door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the 5C cowl side junction block LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      U5-1 - 5C-44 Always Below 1 Ω
      U5-1 or 5C-44 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Disconnect the K11 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      T18-1 - K11-6 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      T18-1 or K11-6 (RCTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Disconnect the K10 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      U14-1 - K10-6 (LCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      U14-1 or K10-6 (LCTY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
