DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when one of the following is detected: 1) a tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) power supply malfunction; 2) a tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) open malfunction; or 3) an EEPROM malfunction.

Note


  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • When replacing the tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor), perform zero point calibration.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG), then off.

    3. Set the theft deterrent system to "ARMED STATE".

      Click here

    4. Check that the security indicator light changes from illuminated to blinking.

    5. Set the theft deterrent system to "DISARMED STATE".

      Click here

    6. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

  2. REPLACE TILT SENSOR (YAW RATE SENSOR)


    1. Temporarily replace the tilt sensor (yaw rate sensor) with a new or known good one.
