MAIN BODY ECU INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)

    Note


    • Make sure that the connecting surfaces are free of foreign matter.

    • Do not touch the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

      Set the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) to the position where the guides of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) contacts the housing sidewall of the cowl side junction block LH as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure to keep the angle at 20° or more as shown in the illustration.

      Slide the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) along the housing sidewall as shown in the illustration and engage the guides.

      B002C8N Install in this Direction

      While keeping the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) in contact with cowl side junction block LH for fuse side of the cowl side junction block LH (axis of rotation), lower it as shown in the illustration.

      B002C8N Install in this Direction

      Press the push area until the claw engages to install the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

      Note


      • Make sure to press only the push area.

      • Confirm the engagement of the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and cowl side junction block LH by listening for the click sound of the lock engaging.

      Tech Tips

      If a click sound cannot be heard, visually check the engagement of the lock. The engagement can also be confirmed if the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and cowl side junction block LH are flush.

  2. INSTALL COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH (for LHD)


    1. Connect the 2 connectors on the back side.

    2. Install the cowl side junction block LH with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      Nut
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the 7 connectors on the front side.

  3. INSTALL COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH (for RHD)


    1. Connect the 2 connectors on the back side.

    2. Install the cowl side junction block LH with the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
      Torque:
      Nut
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the 7 connectors on the front side.

  4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
