DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH judges that there is a communication problem with the blind spot monitor sensor RH.

  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH)


    1. Disconnect the U37 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the T31 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U37-1 (CA2P) - T31-1 (CA2P) Always Below 1 Ω
      U37-6 (CA2N) - T31-6 (CA2N) Always Below 1 Ω

      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN LINE OR CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      U37-5 (BLB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH GROUND TERMINAL)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      U37-10 (BLGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH


    1. Replace the blind spot monitor sensor LH.

  5. RECHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Clear DTCs

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
