DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in communication between itself and the airbag ECU assembly as a result of a self check, this DTC will be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check if airbag system DTCs are output.

  2. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

  3. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER


    1. Replace the telematics transceiver with a new one.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K70 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the K43 airbag ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K70-24 (GSW) - K43-24 (GSW3) Always Below 1 Ω
      K70-24 (GSW) or K43-24 (GSW3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
