NAVIGATION SYSTEM Stereo Jack Adapter Light does not Illuminate

DESCRIPTION

Power is supplied to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly illumination from the radio receiver assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY ILLUMINATION POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connectors.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K45-5 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K118-1 (USV1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 5 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K119 and K56 radio receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the K118 and K45 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K119-1 (USV1) - K118-1 (USV1) Always Below 1 Ω
      K56-7 (GND2) - K45-5 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      K118-1 (USV1) or K119-1 (USV1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K56-7 (GND2) or K45-5 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
