    1. Check additional engine sounds generation (SPORT S mode)

      1. Start the engine.

      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch (integration control and panel assembly) to ON.

      3. Select SPORT S mode.

      4. Move the shift lever to D, M or R. When the vehicle speed is 6 km/h (4 mph) or more and the engine speed is 980 rpm or more, check that additional engine sounds are generated from the No. 2 speaker assembly with box in accordance with the engine speed.

        Tech Tips

Check the difference in sound when the mode is changed between ECO (not generated), NORMAL (not generated), SPORT S (generated), CUSTOMIZE (generated)* and SPORT S+ (generated).

    2. Check additional engine sounds generation (CUSTOMIZE mode)

      1. Start the engine.

      2. Check that the following conditions are set on the multi-display customize setting screen.

[Setup] → [Vehicle] → [Vehicle Settings] → [Drive Mode Customization] → [POWER TRAIN] → [POWER]

      3. Turn the vehicle sound switch (integration control and panel assembly) to ON.

      4. Select CUSTOMIZE mode.

    3. Check additional engine sounds generation (SPORT S+ mode)

      1. Start the engine.

      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch (integration control and panel assembly) to ON.

      3. Select SPORT S+ mode.

      4. Move the shift lever to D, M or R. When the vehicle speed is 6 km/h (4 mph) or more and the engine speed is 980 rpm or more, check that additional engine sounds are generated from the No. 1 speaker assembly with box or No. 2 speaker assembly with box in accordance with the engine speed.

        Tech Tips

        • Check the difference in sound when the mode is changed between ECO (not generated), NORMAL (not generated), SPORT S (generated), CUSTOMIZE (generated)* and SPORT S+ (generated).

        • At engine speeds of 5000 rpm or more, sound generation changes from the No. 2 speaker assembly with box to the No. 1 speaker assembly with box.

    4. Check intake flow noise generation

      1. Start the engine.

      2. Turn the vehicle sound switch (integration control and panel assembly) to ON.

      3. Select SPORT S+ mode.

      4. Move the shift lever to P or N.

      7. With the accelerator pedal opening angle between 15% and 70%, increase the accelerator pedal opening angle by 15% or more in 0.01 seconds and check that intake flow noise is generated from the No. 1 speaker assembly with box.

        Tech Tips

        • Check the difference in sound when the mode is changed between ECO (not generated), NORMAL (not generated), SPORT S (generated), CUSTOMIZE (generated)* and SPORT S+ (generated).

        • To generate noise from the No. 1 speaker assembly with box again, decrease the accelerator pedal opening angle to below 10%.
