PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MICROPHONE (OPERATION CHECK)

      Enter the "Microphone Check" screen. Refer to Check Microphone in Operation Check.

      Click here

    2. When a voice is input into the microphone, check that the microphone input level meter changes according to the input voice.

      All check results are normal.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the r1 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the W9 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      r1-49 (SNS2) - W9-1 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      r1-29 (MACC) - W9-4 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      r1-27 (MIN+) - W9-3 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      r1-48 (MIN-) - W9-2 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      r1-49 (SNS2) or W9-1 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      r1-29 (MACC) or W9-4 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      r1-27 (MIN+) or W9-3 (MCO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      r1-48 (MIN-) or W9-2 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Remove the map light assembly.

    1. Reconnect the r1 radio receiver assembly connector.

  6. INSPECT TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the r1 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the W12 map light assembly connector.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

      Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 3 (MCO+) and 2 (MCO-) of the W9 map light assembly connector.

    5. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.
