The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the power steering ECU assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE BATTERY
Disconnect the harness clamp.
Loosen the nut, and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Remove the nut and battery clamp.
Remove the battery insulator.
Remove the battery.
REMOVE NO. 1 BATTERY TRAY SUPPORT
Remove the No. 1 battery tray support.
REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY
Remove the 3 bolts.

Disconnect the 3 connectors from the power steering ECU assembly and remove the power steering ECU assembly.
Tech Tips
When disconnecting the connector with lock lever, pull out the lock of the lock lever and turn the lock lever as shown in the illustration.
