Note
Do not remove the disc brake pistons from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE CYLINDER BOOT

Using a disc brake pad and a wooden block, secure the disc brake pistons on one side of the disc brake cylinder assembly as shown in the illustration.

Using compressed air, gradually push the disc brake piston out slightly from the front disc brake cylinder.
CAUTION:
Do not place your fingers in front of the front disc brake piston when using compressed air.
Note
Do not push the disc brake pistons out more than 12 mm (0.472 in.) from the disc brake cylinder assembly.
Do not allow any brake fluid to spatter.

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the cylinder boot from the front disc brake piston and front disc brake cylinder.
Note
Be careful not to damage the front disc brake cylinder or front disc brake piston.
Use the same procedure to remove the remaining cylinder boots.
