VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Brake Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform zero point calibration and store system information.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

      for LHD: Click here

      for RHD: Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (BRAKE WARNING LIGHT [RED INDICATOR])


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Select the Active Test on the GTS.

    4. Select the Data List on the GTS.

    5. Check the operating condition of the brake warning light (red indicator) when operating it using the GTS.

      Brake warning light (red indicator) in the Data List turns ON/OFF using the Active Test. C

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the GTS.

    3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The brake warning light (red indicator) turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
