TOE CONTROL LINK INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR STEERING TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Matchmark

      Install the lock nut and rear steering tie rod assembly LH to the steering rack end until the matchmarks are aligned.

      Tech Tips

      After adjusting toe-in, tighten the lock nut.

  2. INSTALL REAR STEERING TIE ROD ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY

      Align the 2 guide pins with the rear suspension member sub-assembly and install the rear suspension arm bracket assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      97 N*m  { 989 kgf*cm, 72 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      The bolts (B) are longer than the bolts (A). Make sure to install the bolts (A) and the bolts (B) to their correct locations.

  4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  5. CONNECT REAR STEERING TIE ROD ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the rear steering tie rod assembly LH to the rear axle assembly with a new nut.

      Torque:
      70 N*m  { 714 kgf*cm, 52 ft.*lbf }

  6. CONNECT REAR STEERING TIE ROD ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

  8. PERFORM PARKING BRAKE SHOE BEDDING

  9. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

  10. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

  11. INITIALIZE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SIGNAL

  12. ADJUST HEADLIGHT AIMING
