ADAPTIVE VARIABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH) receives signals from the sensors and switches to control the absorber control actuator (shock absorber assembly). It uses these signals to optimally control the damping force in accordance with the driving conditions and road conditions.
| Component | Function | |
|---|---|---|
| Shock absorber assembly | Absorber control actuator | Changes the damping force. |
| Front acceleration sensor LH | Detects the vertical acceleration of the left front area of the vehicle body. | |
| Rear acceleration sensor | Detects the rear vehicle body vertical acceleration. | |
| Absorber control ECU | Front acceleration sensor RH |
|
| Yaw rate and acceleration sensor | Detects the vehicle's longitudinal and lateral acceleration and deceleration. | |
| Spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly | Steering angle sensor | Detects the steering direction and the angle of the steering wheel. |
| Brake actuator assembly | Skid control ECU |
|
| ECM |
|
|
| Driving support ECU assembly* | Sends the damping force cooperative control signal to the absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH). | |
| Combination switch assembly | Drive mode select switch | Switches the driving mode. |
| Combination meter assembly | Indicates the selected condition of the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly). | |
