DESCRIPTION

Steering angle sensor signals are sent to the absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH) via CAN communication.

If a communication error is detected, DTC C1784 is stored.

C1784 Steering Angle Sensor Communication Error A steering angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly) communication error is detected, or a steering angle sensor (spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly) power malfunction is detected for 5 seconds or more.

  • Vehicle stability control system (steering angle sensor circuit)

  • Absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH)

Note


  • Before performing troubleshooting, inspect the connectors of related circuits.

  • If DTC C1782 (Power Source Voltage Malfunction) is output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for C1782 first.

  • Before replacing the absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH), perform all of the following:


    • Symptom simulation.

      Click here

    • DTC inspection.

      Click here

    • GTS inspection.

      Click here


      • If no malfunctions are found in other areas, replace the absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH).

  • After replacing the absorber control ECU (front acceleration sensor RH) with a new one, perform registration of vehicle identification information.
