KNOCK SENSOR INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT KNOCK SENSOR (for Bank 1)


    1. A01QBDFC07
      *A for Sensor 1
      *B for Sensor 2
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Knock Sensor)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

      1 (EKNK) - 2 (KNK1)

      1 (EKN3) - 2 (KNK3)

      		 20°C (68°F) 120 to 280 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the knock sensor.

  2. INSPECT KNOCK SENSOR (for Bank 2)

      *A Sensor 1
      *B Sensor 2
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Knock Sensor)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

      1 (EKN2) - 2 (KNK2)

      1 (EKN4) - 2 (KNK4)

      		 20°C (68°F) 120 to 280 kΩ

      If the result is not as specified, replace the knock sensor.
