ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. Install a new gasket to the engine oil temperature sensor.

    2. A01XRR4C01
      *a 19 mm Ball Joint Lock Nut Wrench
      *b Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 19 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install the engine oil temperature sensor to the oil filter bracket sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      Specified tightening torque
      39.2 N*m  { 400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If the engine oil temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a 19 mm ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.)):

        21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

    3. Connect the engine oil temperature sensor connector.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  4. CONNECT VENTILATION HOSE

  5. ADD ENGINE OIL

    Click here

  6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  7. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL

    Click here

  8. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

    Click here

  9. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  10. INSTALL CENTER NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER

    Click here

  11. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

  12. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
