HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the heated oxygen sensor removal/installation are shown below.

CAUTION:

    When the engine is hot, do not touch high-temperature areas such as the engine or exhaust pipe.

  • Touching high-temperature areas such as the engine and exhaust pipe could result in burns.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1)


    1. Turn back the floor carpet.

    2. A01Q8IU

      Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

    3. Disengage the clamp.

    4. A01Q9PNN01

      Disengage the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

    5. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

      Note

      If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2)


    1. Turn back the floor carpet.

    2. A01Q9KB

      Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

    3. Disengage the clamp.

    4. A01Q8R8N01

      Disengage the heated oxygen sensor grommet from the vehicle body.

    5. Using SST, remove the heated oxygen sensor from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

      Note

      If the heated oxygen sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
