Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
for LHD

Remove in this Direction |
Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal negative connector cover.
Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
for RHD

Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal negative connector cover.
Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

REMOVE BATTERY
for LHD

Remove in this Direction |
Disengage the 2 claws to open the battery terminal connector cover.
Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the cable from the battery insulator.
Remove the nut.
Disengage the guide and remove the battery clamp sub-assembly from the battery carrier assembly.
Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
Remove the battery from the vehicle.
for RHD

Disengage the 4 claws to open the battery terminal connector cover.
Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cable from the battery insulator.
Remove the nut.
Disengage the guide and remove the battery clamp sub-assembly from the battery carrier assembly.
Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
Remove the battery from the vehicle.
