PROCEDURE
DISCONNECT VENTILATION HOSE
| *1 | No. 2 Ventilation Hose |
| *2 | No. 3 Ventilation Hose |
Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose and No. 3 ventilation hose from the air cleaner hose assembly.
SEPARATE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE
Disconnect the 2 clamp hooks from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body with motor assembly.
Disengage the 2 guides and separate the air cleaner cap with air cleaner hose from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly from the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
Note
Do not allow foreign matter to enter the air cleaner case sub-assembly.
INSPECT AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Tech Tips
This procedure is only performed when the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly will be reused.
Check whether the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly is dirty or clogged.

If the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly is dirty or has foreign matter adhered to it, clean the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly with compressed air.
Note
When cleaning the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly, blow the compressed air from the intake downstream side.
Tech Tips
If the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly is still extremely dirty after cleaning it, replace the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly with a new one.
