Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY

REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
SEPARATE NO. 1 ENGINE ROOM RELAY BLOCK (for LHD)

REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY
REMOVE SPARK PLUG
Remove the 8 spark plugs from the cylinder head sub-assembly and cylinder head LH.
Note
If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.
