LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM(w/ Steering Control) Steering Pad Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives a LDA switch signal from the steering pad switch assembly and sends the signal to the forward recognition camera via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      for LHD: Click here

      for RHD: Click here

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    5. Check DTCs.

    6. Turn the engine switch off.

  3. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the horn button assembly.

    2. Disconnect the steering pad switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K26 spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the K4 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K26-12 (DIST) - K4-23 (SPSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K26-12 (DIST) or K4-23 (SPSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
