PURGE VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)

   
   

   1. Install the purge valve (purge VSV) to the intake air surge tank assembly with the bolt.

      

      *1	Fuel Vapor Feed Hose	*2	No. 1 Fuel Vapor Feed Hose
      *a	1 to 5 mm (0.0394 to 0.197 in.)	*b	30° to 60°
      *c	40° to 60°	*d	90°
      *e	Paint Mark	*f	Upper
      *g	Under	*h	Back

      Torque:

      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the direction of the purge valve (purge VSV) is as shown in the illustration.

   2. Connect the purge valve (purge VSV) connector.

   3. Connect the No. 1 fuel vapor feed hose to the purge valve (purge VSV) and slide the clip to secure it.

      Tech Tips

      Engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration.

   4. Connect the fuel vapor feed hose to the purge valve (purge VSV) and slide the clip to secure it.

      Engage the clip within the area shown in the illustration.
