The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly) removal/installation are shown below.

Note
Do not rotate the spiral cable without the steering wheel assembly with the battery connected and the engine switch on (IG).
PROCEDURE
REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH (w/ Lane Departure Alert System)
REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Lane Departure Alert System)
REMOVE SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (w/o Lane Departure Alert System)
Disconnect the No. 1 switch wire connector.
Remove the 4 screws, and disconnect the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) from the steering wheel assembly.
Disengage the 5 guides to remove the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) with No. 1 switch wire from the steering wheel assembly.
Disconnect the 2 shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly) connectors to remove the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) from the No. 1 switch wire.
REMOVE NO. 2 SWITCH WIRE (w/o Lane Departure Alert System)
Tech Tips
There is no need to remove this unless the No. 2 switch wire is replaced.
Disengage the No. 2 switch wire connector clamp from the steering wheel assembly.
Disengage the 2 guides to remove the No. 2 switch wire from the steering wheel assembly.
REMOVE SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY) (w/o Lane Departure Alert System)
Disengage the guide to disconnect the No. 1 switch wire from the steering wheel assembly.
Disconnect the No. 1 switch wire connector.
Remove the 4 screws, and disconnect the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) from the steering wheel assembly.
Disconnect the 2 shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly) connectors to remove the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) from the No. 1 switch wire.
Disengage the 6 guides to remove the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) with No. 1 switch wire from the steering wheel assembly.
