SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER CAP (for LHD)


    1. A01Q9AZC01
      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the shift lever cap from the rear upper console panel sub-assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the shift lever cap and rear upper console panel sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER CAP (for RHD)

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the shift lever cap from the rear upper console panel sub-assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the shift lever cap and rear upper console panel sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)

  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

    Click here

  5. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

      Remove the nut and disconnect the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly.

  6. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (for LHD)

      Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 console box duct.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (for RHD)

      Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 console box duct.

  9. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A01Q9G5

      Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.

    2. A01QBHQ

      Disengage the 4 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.

    3. A01Q9J8

      Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.

    4. A01QC8T

      Remove the 4 bolts and transmission floor shift assembly from the vehicle body.

  10. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A01QAFH

      Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector.

    2. A01QB3N

      Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the transmission floor shift assembly.

    3. A01QCJ7

      Disconnect the transmission control switch connector.

    4. A01Q9CV

      Remove the 4 bolts and transmission floor shift assembly from the vehicle body.
