PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL QUARTER PILLAR COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    When installing a new quarter pillar cover sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and quarter pillar cover sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Quarter Pillar Cover Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or quarter pillar cover sub-assembly excessively.


    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Remove the release paper from a new quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      Engage the guide and clips to install the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      When installing the double-side tape, peel off the backing paper.

    4. Press the quarter pillar cover sub-assembly.
