BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Not Pushed (OFF)
      *b	Pushed (ON)
      *c	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

      Check the operation of the back door opener switch.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UL) - 2 (E) Back door opener switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω 3 (UL) - 2 (E) Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

   2. 

      *a	Not Pushed (OFF)
      *b	Pushed (ON)
      *c	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

      Check the operation of the back door lock switch.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (L) - 2 (E) Back door lock switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω 1 (L) - 2 (E) Back door lock switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.

2. INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)

   
   
   1. 

      *a	Not Pushed (OFF)
      *b	Pushed (ON)
      *c	Component without harness connected (Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)

      Check the operation of the back door opener switch.

      
      

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (UL) - 2 (E) Back door opener switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω 3 (UL) - 2 (E) Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher

         If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.
